Problem
For the Love of Bees (FTLOB), a Charitable Trust Legacy project backed by the Auckland Council, aims to revolutionise regenerative horticulture in urban areas. Their team comprises farmers, composters, beekeepers, educators, and designers, supported by communities, sponsors, and partners. Their goal: to transform Auckland into the world’s most liveable, bee-friendly city. However, sustaining grassroots projects strains their resources. We identified social media as a key driver for economic growth and community engagement. Thus, we propose a social media app, connecting global and local communities to support regenerative horticulture. FTLOB's stakeholder role in the app ensures focus on their own growth while fostering a vibrant community.
My role
We were all assigned roles. I was the project manager, which made me focus on effective communication, regular meetings, and constructive feedback. I also contributed my technical skills to create a cohesive, user-friendly app through my skills in adobe illustrator and photoshop.

This page offers a wide range of plants with a search bar. Our Filter feature refines searches by plant size, water needs, and price. Detailed Plant pages provide insights and filters. The Companion Plants feature suggests pairings for optimal growth. Purchase options link to Kings Plant Barn. After ordering, users return to the Dictionary Page. Tagging enables easy access to related articles. This app enhances gardening, offering convenience and knowledge in a seamless experience.

With My Garden, you can effortlessly keep track of your plants, accessing detailed articles and upcoming events to enhance your gardening experience. Visualize your garden in stunning detail with the 2D digital view feature, and use the camera's measuring function to ensure precision when re-taking measurements. Enhance planning with section measurements to calculate plant quantities accurately. Explore a wide array of plant options, tailoring your selections to meet your preferences and gardening goals.
